About the College of Law and Political Science

The Faculty of Law was established on 1/4/1998 and was affiliated with the University of Mosul until the 2002- 2003 academic year, where the University of Kirkuk was created, and it became one of the first colleges that were established in this young university, which contributes to preparing legal staff for legal positions in various state departments, Preparing competent lawyers who are able to serve the people of this country, and among the goals of the college is to spread legal awareness and emphasize the necessity and importance of the law and its application to the people of society. The college gives a Bachelor's degree in the Department of Law and Political Science as well as a master’s and doctorate degree in the Law Department.
